Jose Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes has flown to Italy to complete a deal to sign Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to reports.
Tuttosport, as quoted by Calciomercato.com, is reporting that the super agent is in Italy to discuss terms with the Serie A club as Manchester United look to sign a top striker this summer.
The same article states that Mendes has been tasked with getting the deal over the line as Manchester United look to negotiate Torino’s eye-watering £87m asking price for the Italy international.
Manchester United have been frustrated in their efforts to sign a striker in the summer transfer window so far.
Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann was heavily tipped to move to Old Trafford before a deal fell through earlier this month.
Manchester United are also thought to be interested in a deal to sign Everton’s prolific goal-scorer Romelu Lukaku this summer.
However, the Belgian striker is thought to prefer a move to his former club Chelsea
